Opera 10.51: The fastest phantom on the earth

Opera 10.51: The fastest phantom on the earth

Opera is all time favorite browser for the ubber geek for is cutting edge user-interface, thumbnail tab preview, mouse gesture, opera turbo, Unite, Opera links and many other unique feature that other cannot deliver. But unfortunately 2-3% of user use opera while browsing. You may think why least number of people use Opera though it has so many promising feature. It’s little bit confusing for m also, I think this is for slow page loading but this is my all time favorite browser.. Opera runs out its newest phantom 10.51 in this month with reducing its cluttering option.

So we can see Opera has wins in most of the test with making a great difference with others. Opera has joined the race with main browsers. We will not shock if we see opera as the leading browsers after a few month, if they keep up the good work.

Insecure browser? I had been watching secunia’s until few years ago and as far as I remember, Opera usually had used to be the most secure browser with smallest number of known security threats. As for speed, it used to be fastest as well on Windows platform, though it was then outperformed by Safari, later by Chrome and then even Firefox, especially in JavaScript performance. Reputation of slow, insecure browser is definitely unfair though, it was just short period their opponents managed to outperform Opera and now Opera is back again.

Actually, I’ve been using Opera 10.51, and it’s faster than even chrome (without being so ugly and low profile). yeah, I hate chrome =P”

Opera has NEVER been insecure, it’s always left that title to IE and Firefox…

IIRC, Chrome is still the only one to sandbox each instance, and the only one who hasn’t been hacked at pwn2own for the second year in a row…

The browser may have been hacked but due to the sandboxing, they couldn’t do anything with the operating system.

    (could be wrong though)

Opera is one of the most secure browsers. As mentioned above try looking on the Secunia website.
How can you call it ugly when there are 1000′s of themes available for it?

Tabs were ripped off from Chrome? come again?? Opera had the first, and still the best, tabbed, or multi-page interface. Other browsers tab implementations are weak at best.

I am agree with you that opera was the first to introduce a tab based web surfing. But the idea to integrate the tabs in the title bar is taken from chrome. Thanks for your interest.
